As the UK division of Diversified Business Communications – an international event organiser and media group – we get to share our great ideas and brand innovations with colleagues in the US, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong and India. How’s that for global reach!

What We Do
Diversified Business Communications UK is part of a rapidly growing, highly successful trade exhibition and media group, with its head office in the beautiful US city of Portland in Maine.
From just a couple of events and a magazine a few years ago, we now organise eight highly successful annual trade shows, all of them leaders in their sectors, publish a couple of magazines, do web stuff and, of course, social media to support the industries we work in. Around 30 highly motivated and talented individuals work here in our Brighton office, all focused on creating the best possible exhibiting and visiting experiences for our customers. And we all have fun doing it! So, if you’re ever in Brighton, we would love to see you.

How We Do It
We know that we are only ever as good as our last event, and we don’t take anything for granted.
We believe in attention to detail and like to control every last detail. For instance, we do all our design work ourselves because getting the message right and communicating it effectively, is essential to delivering successful shows. We do our own PR, because we think we know best. Our operations, marketing, sales – it’s all in house, done by people who understand the markets they serve, who know our customers and who can react quickly to feedback. We also like to think up new ideas and to work with people in new sectors to create tailor-made events that really work for them. So if you want to talk, give us a call.

The Bigger Picture
Diversified Business Communications is a family owned company, with a growing network of offices and events around the world, including the USA, Australia, Canada, India, Hong Kong, Brussels, Sweden and the UK.
Our beginnings can be traced back to 1949 when Horace Hildreth Sr, the former governor of Maine, launched Maine’s first TV station. In 1970, the company appropriately ‘diversified’ and launched its first trade show, the beginning of another chapter, which eventually led to where we are today. Under the leadership of our CEO and President Nancy Hasselback, the company has seen rapid growth in recent years and is now recognised internationally as one of the most dynamic and successful companies in the sector. Annually, we now organise over 150 trade and consumer events around the world, some small and local and some very big, including international market leading events.
