We’re delighted to announce that three of our events have made the shortlists for this year’s Association of Event Organisers (AEO) Excellence Awards – the exhibition industry’s equivalent to the Oscars.

The nominations, which were announced yesterday, sees Casual Dining, Commercial Kitchen, and the co-located Natural Products Scandinavia & Nordic Organic Food Fair, all in the running for prestigious best tradeshow awards.

For the first time in a few years, no Diversified events are competing against each other (yay!).

Casual Dining, which already has two best trade show awards to its name, is up for ‘Best UK Tradeshow – over 2,000 sqm’.

Natural Products Scandinavia & Nordic Organic Food Fair, which takes place in Malmö, Sweden, is celebrating its ‘Best Overseas Tradeshow over 2,000sqm’ nomination.  It’s previously been a finalist in other categories – so fingers crossed!

While Commercial Kitchen, which opens for its second edition at the NEC Birmingham next month (on 6-7 June), is up for two trophies – ‘Best Tradeshow Launch’ and ‘Best Tradeshow under 2,000sqm’.

Notably, Commercial Kitchen is one of only a few events to ever have been shortlisted as a finalist in both these AEO Awards categories.  Casual Dining also enjoyed that honour in 2014 and went on to win ‘Best Tradeshow under 2,000sqm’.  Can Commercial Kitchen go one better?

We’ll find out soon enough – as it’s only a month until all the results are announced.
